The lake is owned and operated by Public Wholesale Water Supply District #11. The lake provides an excellent location for recreational activities including boating, fishing, swimming, and overnight camping and restroom facilities. The lake is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Fishing regulations are managed through the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. Bone Creek Lake is stocked with small and large mouth bass, crappie, channel cat, blue gill, and walleye.
