We at the city encourage conservation. this helps with everyone's utility costs. Many devices are available for electric and water conservation, such as energy efficient light bulbs, appliances and air conditioning. There are water saving shower heads and low use flush water closets. Also, we encourage everyone to keep their plumbing fixtures in good repair. A faucet that drips, or a toilet that runs, can be expensive. The Electric and Water Department want to make Girard, "A Great Place to Call Home".
